The colorful festival of Rath Yatra is celebrated on Phalgun Purnima which comes in February end or early March. Also known as Vasant Utsav, Rath Yatra marks the onset of Spring in India. The main day, Rath Yatra, also known as Dhuli Vandana in Sanskrit,also Dhulheti, Dhulandi or Dhulendi, is celebrated by people throwing coloured powder and coloured water at each other.
