Oktoberfest, in Munich, is a world famous beer festival. Dissimilar beer festivals in the UK, populated primarily by people who wouldn't be out of place in Viz's Real Ale Twats column, Oktoberfest is a period of 3 weeks each year where the good people of Munich mix with the beer tourists for a veritable carnival of lager drinking. Oktoberfest, the world's biggest fair best known for the massive amount of beer consumed. Oktoberfest starts on September 19th in Munich, Germany. The festival is free to attend, & lasts for 16 days. Oktoberfest attracts around six million people each year, which each drinks one liter of beer on average. Six million people drinking in one city revenue drivers need to be alert. Just four days before this year's festival kicks off, a German court ruled that a motorcyclist who collided with drunk festival-goers crossing the street at a red light was partly to blame for the accident, as she should have expected there to be drunks on the roads.
