Eid ul-Fitr Food

Eid ul-Fitr is the time to break the fast and have delicious food. Eid ul-fitr is the time to celebrate and enjoy. Muslims visit to mosque for unique prayers and all the friends and relatives have a small get together where all of them have Eid meal together to built a feeling of unity among each other and spread the happiness and love all around. Eid al-Adha food contains mostly of goat meat. In some parts of the world mostly the Asian sub continent Eid al-Adha is well known as Bakra Eid. Bakra means goat in the local languages.

A goat sacrificed is the sacrifice of one person. A sacrifice of a cow is considered enough for seven people. Eid al-Adha food is always very colorful, rich, and high in calories and very delicious. The dishes that are prepared vary from country to country. Some of the dishes which are ordinary meat, flavored rice, sweet dish which is mostly kheer etc.

Eid al-Adha food is prepared keeping the party in mind. The pilgrims who visit Mecca or what is known as the Hajj, have to fast and walk a lot in order to complete the Hajj successfully. Eid al-Adha is celebrated on the day directly after the Hajj and so the food is made so that the tired pilgrims can regain their energy and feel fit.
